The Global's History
The Hextronics Global drone station played a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our subsequent drone-in-a-box platforms, The Atlas and The Universal.

The Global's innovative robotic battery-swapping mechanism, designed around the DJI Mavic 2 series, established a foundation of reliability and efficiency. With its seamless API workflow integration, precise landing capabilities, and transportability, The Global showcased the potential for continuous operation and optimized flight times. Drawing from this experience, we further refined our technology to develop The Atlas, a heavy payload UAS nest, featuring enhanced battery capacity, durability, and environmental resistance. Building on this success, we expanded our offerings with The Universal, a versatile drone station compatible with multiple drone models.
The Global's influence remains evident in the battery-swapping feature and the emphasis on turn-key solutions across all our platforms, allowing customers to seamlessly integrate their drones and maximize their operational capabilities.

During the COVID Pandemic, Curt grew Hextronics in the family garage and built the first iterations of the Global with a group of interns from his local high school. These units were shipped across the world to early leaders in the autonomous drone industry.
