The Crossing Event & Hextronics

Hextronics joined forces with The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis Event to contribute advanced drone technology. As a Miami-based company, we specialize in drone-in-a-box solutions and have a strong commitment to leveraging technology for social good. This collaboration with the event demonstrates our dedication to making a positive impact on society.

MIAMI - Supporting Good Causes with Advanced Technology

We provided The Atlas, a versatile and robust drone-in-a-box platform, for capturing the event's pivotal moments. We deployed our drone-in-a-box technology to remotely control the drone's flight from a laptop, enabling comprehensive recording of the paddle boarders' journey. The Atlas's robotic arm autonomously swapped batteries, further minimizing downtime to just six minutes. This seamless battery swap capability facilitated continuous coverage, capturing incredible footage that was shared live on media platforms and news outlets.

Benefits of Recording the Event using Hextronics' Technology:

1. Uninterrupted Coverage: The rapid battery replacement feature of The Atlas ensured uninterrupted recording of the event, capturing all the remarkable moments from start to finish.

2. Remote Control: By controlling the drone's flight remotely from a laptop, Hextronics provided flexibility and convenience in capturing the journey, allowing them to support and cheer on the paddle boarders.

3. Extended Range: Our drone-in-a-box solution expanded the operational range of the drone, enabling it to cover the journey across the Gulf Stream.

4. Seamless Battery Swap: The Atlas's robotic arm facilitated quick and efficient battery swaps, reducing downtime and ensuring continuous recording without interruptions.

5. High-Quality Footage: Hextronics' advanced drone technology captured incredible footage, preserving extraordinary memories for the event participants and contributing to the awareness and promotion of cystic fibrosis support.

“We're just so incredibly thankful for them, thank you so much to Hextronics. The Atlas tracks, that's how we're tracking our paddlers across and everyone back at home can see where their paddler is at…”

Our partnership with The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis Event exemplified our commitment to utilizing advanced drone technology for social good. The deployment of The Atlas drone-in-a-box platform enabled seamless recording of the event, providing uninterrupted coverage, and capturing remarkable moments.

Our contribution not only supported the event but also amplified the impact of the Piper's Angels Foundation in raising awareness and improving the lives of individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis.
